Moong Dal Chilla




Moong Dal ChillaHere's the healthy and very delicious Moong Dal chilla. Can be enjoyed with Ginger Pickle, Peanut Chutney posted on the blog.


Ingredients:

1 Cup Moong Dal without skin
         ½ Cup Rice Flour              
¼ Cup Water
½ tsp Salt
½ tbsp Chopped Green Chili
3 tbsp Chopped Cilantro
1 tsp Grated Ginger


Filling:

2 Cup Boiled Mashed Potato
1 Small Chopped Onion
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Chat Masala
1 Chopped Green Chili
1 tbsp Oil


Process:

1) Soak Moong Dal for atleast 3 hours.

2) Take a grinder, add in soaked Moong Dal, Green Chili, Chopped Cilantro and grind well with water till becomes smooth paste. Add water slowly as per required.

3) Add in Salt, Cumin Seeds, Salt, Rice Flour and mix well.

4) For the filling, In a pan heat up the oil. Add in Mustard Seeds, when they pop up add in chopped Onion and stir till onion turns translucent. Add in mashed Potato, Chat Masala, Green Chili, Salt and mix well.

5) Heat up the Flat nonstick pan on medium high heat. Spray some Oil over the pan. Now with the help of big spoon spread the Moong Dal batter over the pan evenly. Pour some oil over the edges is the Chilla. Put some of the filling over the Chilla and let that cook till Chilla starts detaching from the flat pan.

4) Roll the Chilla over the potato mixture...Enjoy hot!
