Cheese Tomato




Cheese Tomato, as being a Punjabi..i just love to prepare Punjabi food. This recipe is one of the most flavor full Paneer curry recipes. I prefer to serve this dish with tandori roti that too i make on regular gas stove that every body has in there home. I will share that soon, else this can be enjoyed with Rice, Roti or Tortilla.

Here comes the Recipe


Ingredients:

1 lb Paneer Cubes
1 tbsp Minced Ginger
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Minced Green Chili
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
2 Medium Onion Puree
2 cup Tomato Puree
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
½ tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Oil / Clarified Butter
2 tbsp Heavy Cream
1 tsp Garam Masala
Cilantro Leaves for garnish


Process:

1)  In a pan, heat the oil on medium flame and once hot add in the Cumin Seeds stir for 1 minute on medium low flame, then add in Ginger, Garlic, Onion and green chili.

2) Stir till that turns golden brown, then add in red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and stir well, add in a tbsp of water and stir well.

3) Add in tomato puree and cook till oil bubble appears.

4) Add in Paneer, salt, sugar and heavy cream, then stir well and its done.

5) Garnish with Garam Masala and Cilantro...Enjoy with Rice, Chapatis, Parathas or Naan.

Puri For Pani Puri



Puri For Pani Puri, is one of the most in demand snack of all time on India. I have seen people crazy to have this any time you say. I am staying in USA right now and here i am not finding my "gol guppe wala bhaiya". I just wanted to make this at home to make this more reachable. I know many people are there who are missing this one. SO i request them to try this and don't miss it any further.


Ingredients:

1 Cup Wheat Flour
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Salt
¼ Cup Water
Pinch of Baking Soda
Oil to Deep Fry


Process:

1) Take a big bowl, add in flour, salt and oil. Rub well with your fingers. Kneed a tight dough with  the help of water. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

2) Preheat oil till hot to fry. Divide the dough in two part and roll the dough in a bog chapati . Cut with cookie cutter to make small round shape. Fry these round shaped dough on medium high flame. 

3) While frying press puri's a bit with spatula to fluff them. Now preheat oven at 200 degrees. Transfer the puri's in a flat baking pan.

4) Bake puri's for about 20 minutes. Now the crunchy puri's are ready to to eat one cool down. Serve with boiled mashed potatoes inside the puri's and fill them with pani (Refer Pani for Pani Puri).

Pani for Pani Puri




Pani for Pani Puri, hmmm i don't have words to explain how wonderful this is. I don't know anybody who doesn't like pani puri. This recipe is the one go to recipe that's quite easy and quick to make if you have both tamarind chutney and coriander chutney in hand. I just hope you will try this recipe and let me know how much you really liked this.

Ingredients:

Serving 2 Person
2 Cup Water
2 tbsp Coriander Chutney
1 tbsp Tamarind Chutney
¼ tsp Black Salt
¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
¼ tsp Cumin Powder
¼ tsp Chaat Masala 
¼ Cup Boondi


Process:

1) Mix in Coriander Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, Black Salt, Red Chili Powder, Cumin Powder, Chaat Masala, Boondi in water.

2) Serve Chill...Enjoy!

Corn Meal Upma




Corn Meal, the Mild and Savory snack with full of flavor and health. This quick snack can be enjoyed as breakfast or tea time. This is a perfect lunch box idea for kids. Any kinda vegetables can be added to make is even more healthy.I just hope my all friends will try this.

Here comes the Recipe


Ingredients:

1 Cup Cornmeal
1 tbsp Oil
1 Medium Onion Sliced
½ Cup Water
½ tbsp Chopped Green Chili
1  tsp Grated Ginger
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Lime Juice
Salt as taste


Process:

1) Heat the Oil in large skillet on medium high heat.

2) Once Oil is hot, Add in Mustard Seeds and allow them to pop. Then add in Onion, Green Chili, Grated Ginger and saute till cooked.

3) Add in cornmeal and stir till that turns lite brown. Add in Water slowly and stir continuously till water evaporates.

4) Garnish with Clarified Butter...Enjoy with a cup of Tea!

Homemade Raspberry Jam



Homemade Raspberry Jam, i mean who doesn't like raspberries that too in the form of jam with the beauty of natural ingredients. This is a wonderful recipe for kids with no preservatives. I hope you will try this recipe and let me know how you liked.


Here comes the Recipe


Ingredients:

1 lb Raspberry
1 tbsp Lime Juice
1/2 Cup Sugar


Process:

1) Transfer the raspberries into saucepan. Add Sugar and Lime Juice. Mash raspberries with the spatula while string.

2) Boil the mixture till sugar melts and then keep stirring that on medium flame till bubbles goes away. Make that mixture to the desired consistency as per personal choice.

3) Store in clean and airtight container.


Tips:

1) Keep the Jam in Refrigerator.

2) Use within two weeks.

1 tbsp Minced Ginger
1 tbsp Minced Garlic

1 Medium Onion Chopped
1 cup Tomato Puree
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
½ tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Coriander Powder

1 tbsp Oil / Clarified Butter
1 tsp Garam Masala
Cilantro Leaves for garnish


Process:

1)  In a pan, heat the oil on medium flame and once hot add in the Cumin Seeds stir for 1 minute on medium low flame, then add in Ginger, Garlic, Onion and green chili.

2) Stir till that turns golden brown, then add in red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and stir well, add in a tbsp of water and stir well.

3) Add in tomato puree and cook till oil bubble appears.

4) Add in Eggs, salt, sugar and a cup of water, then cook it covered for 10 minutes at medium low flame. 

5) Once done, garnish with Garam Masala and Cilantro...Enjoy with Rice, Chapatis, Parathas or Naan.

Orange Cranberry Muffins




Orange Cranberry Muffins, are one of the most delicious muffins one would have. Certainly i love to bake with fresh fruits with the deep flavor of cranberries. What else i can say about these muffins other than to suggest you guys to try for once.

Ingredients:

1½  cup of All Purpose Flour/ Maida
1 Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 tsp of Vanilla
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Orange Zest
2 tsp Curd
¼ tsp of Salt
¼ Cup Fresh Orange Juice
¼ Cup Half and Half
1 Cup Cranberries


Process:

**Tools Used: Hand Mixer, Spatula, Whisk, Bowl, Muffin Pan.

1) Preheat your oven to 350F. Line muffin tin with liners and set aside.

2) In a bowl sieve the flour, Baking Powder, Salt, then mix well and set aside.

3) In another bowl cream together the Butter and sugar until the mixture gets fluffy with the help of whisk ,then add eggs one at a time and beat till the mixture gets lite and fluffy. Add vanilla extract, Curd. Orange Zest and mix well.

4) Add flour mixture into wet batter slowly alternate with orange juice and half & half mixture using spatula.

5) Fold in cranberries with batter.

6) Distribute the batter equally in muffin tin and bake for 25 mins..let them cool for 15 minutes...Enjoy!


Tips:

1) Don't over mix the batter.

2) Avoid Salt if using Salted Butter.

3) All the ingredients should be at room temperature.

Poha Cutlet



Poha Cutlet, was just an experiment and it happened to be a dish i will make always..it was delicious. Its super crunchy from outside with lite and delicate flavors inside. You can put any kinda a veggies in there but i just loved them as it is. Try these, i am sure you will be addicted by these cutlets.

Ingredients:

1 cup of Poha
1 Cup Boiled Mashed Potatoes
1 tbsp Lime Juice
1 tsp Cumin Powder
½ tsp Red Chili Powder
½ tsp Minced Green Chili
1 tbsp Chopped Cilantro
1 tsp of Salt
¼ Cup Roasted Crushed Peanuts
2 tbsp Oil 

Process:

1) Soak poha in water for atleast 2 hours. Then remove excess water from poha .

2) Preheat oil till hot to fry. Take a bowl and add in poha , potatoes, cumin powder, salt, red chili, lime juice, peanuts, green chili, cilantro and mix well.

3) Once oil is hot enough to fry, then made any shape of cutlet as desired and fry till golden brown.

4) Serve with mint chutney.

Homemade Sprouts




Homemade Sprouts, That too very easy to make what i can say how healthy they are...as everybody knows. Just follow few simple steps and they are ready.

           Here comes the Recipe

               Ingredients:

 1 Cup Mong Dal
½ Cup Black Channa
Water to Soak 


Process:

1)   Take a big bowl and soak in mong dal and channa in water for 12 hours. Then remove the water and let them rest covered in the same bowl for 24 hours.

2)   In between wash the mixture with water for about 2-3 times in 24 hours and cover again without water. They are ready...

Savory French Toast




Savory French Toast, is very pretty looking and yummy snack. French Toast is my favrt. snack in rain or breakfast any day. This is a perfect standalone snack for your Chai (Tea) Time. The Crunchy outside – The Soft juicy core – A Sip of Tea –  Myself Happy :)

           Here comes the Recipe

            Ingredients:

 Serve 2 Person
 4 Slices of baguette/Bread
 2 Eggs Beaten 
 2 tbsp Oil
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Chopped Cilantro
 2 tbsp Milk


Process:

1)   Preheat oil in a flat skittle. Take a flat bowl and add in eggs, salt, pepper, milk, cilantro and mix well.

2)   Dip in the bread pieces in egg mixture from both sides. Then place them over the preheated pan. Cook from both the sides till fully done. It will take 2-3 minutes each side.

Apple Rasin Muffin




Apple Rasin Muffins, are super moist muffins with goodness of apples. Certainly i love to bake with fresh fruits with the deep flavor of spices and crunch of nuts. Also when walnuts and raisins mixes with batter makes them heavenly delicious. What else i can say about these muffins other than to suggest you guys to try for once.

Ingredients:

1½  cup of All Purpose Flour/ Maida
1 Cup Sugar
½ Cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 tsp of Vanilla
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Curd
¼ tsp of Salt
½ Cup Milk
1 Cup Raisins
½ Cup Chopped Walnuts
1 Cup Grated Apples
1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice


Process:

**Tools Used: Hand Mixer, Spatula, Whisk, Bowl, Muffin Pan.

1) Preheat your oven to 350F. Line muffin tin with liners and set aside.

2) In a bowl sieve the flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Pumpkin Pie spice, then mix well and set aside.

3) In another bowl cream together the Butter and sugar until the mixture gets fluffy with the help of whisk ,then add eggs one at a time and beat till the mixture gets lite and fluffy. Add vanilla extract, Curd and mix well.

4) Add flour mixture into wet batter slowly alternate with Milk using spatula.

Sabudana Khichadi


Sabudana Khichadi, This is one of the dish, myself and my brother used to wait for the day when my mother prepares these sabudana cutlets or either sabudana khichadi. My mother  prepares this for navratri when we used to fast for the whole day(I know funny)
This khichadi is super moist and flavorful with the crunch of peanuts.

Ingredients:

1 cup of Sabudana
1 Cup Boiled Chopped Potatoes
1 tbsp Chopped Green Chili
1 tsp Cumin Powder
½ tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Coriander Chutney or Lime Juice
1 tsp of Salt
½ tsp Sugar
½ Cup Roasted Crushed Peanuts
1 tbsp Oil


Process:

1) Soak sabudana in water for atleast 2 hours. Then remove excess water from sabudana.

2) Take a bowl and add in sabudana, grounded peanuts, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, red chili, Coriander Chutney and mix well.

3) Preheat oil in a fry pan. Add in potatoes and green chili. Stir till potatoes turns light brown. Then add in sabudana mixture. Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame, stir in between for the even cooking, then add in sugar and stir cook for another 5 minutes.

4) Serve hot with curd or tamarind chutney.

Cracker Chaat




Cracker ChaatHere's the Indian road side snack. This is sweet and sour snack for tea time.

Here comes the Recipe


Ingredients:

8-10 Salted Crackers/Monaco
¼ Cup Chopped Onion
¼ Cup Chopped Tomato

¼ Cup Boiled Corn
¼ Cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper
¼ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tbsp Cilantro Mint Chutney
1 tbsp Tamarind Chutney
Cilantro for Garnish


Process:


1) Put Cracker's over the plate so as they wont over lap on each other. Put boiled corn on each of them follows by Chopped Onion, Chopped Tomato, Chopped Bell Pepper, Cilantro Mint Chutney, Tamarind Chutney.

5) At last sprinkle salt and red chili powder. Garnish with Cilantro...Enjoy!


Tips:


1) Assemble everything together just before serving.

Crispy Almond Cookies




Crispy Almond Cookies, These cookies are my favorite Cookies. These are buttery 
& crispy goes best at tea time with the goodness of almonds. These are very simple and quick cookies. Try this and let me know if you liked.

              Ingredients:
½ cup of All Purpose Flour/ Maida
¼ Cup Sugar
 1 Egg
   ¼ tsp Salt
 4 tbsp Butter
½ Cup Almond Flakes

Process:
**Tools Used: Hand Mixer, Spatula, Whisk, Bowl, Cookie Pan.

1)     Preheat the oven to 400F. Grease the cookie pan with butter and cover the bottom with butter paper.
2)     In a bowl sieve flour, Sugar and Salt. Beat in Egg and melted Butter until well incorporated.

3)     Spoon out batter, about 1/2 a tablespoon at a time, onto a parchment lined baking sheets. Spread cookies into 2 to 3 inch circles about 1/8-inch thick. 
4)     Sprinkle almond flakes over cookies and Bake them for 10-12 minutes. Let them cool.

Masala Tea Powder (Tip)




Masala Tea Powderthis tip is for all my friends who loves to have masala tea and that too anytime you like to have in just no time. This is handy ever ready masala tea tip. i prefer to have this in my pantry to enjoy our Indian flavor tea and so quick with my tip.

Here comes the Recipe


Ingredients:

2 Cup Tea Powder
1 tbsp Cardamom Powder
2 tbsp Dried Crushed Basil Leaves
1 tsp Everest Tea Masala (store bought)


Process:

1)  Mix together Tea Powder, Cardamom Powder, Basil Leaves and Everest Tea Masala in an air tight container. 

2) Use this to make tea whenever you like to have a sip of the most flavor full tea.
